You hear about tolerance today. Tolerance is “the ability or willingness to tolerate something, in particular the existence of opinions or behaviors that one does not necessarily agree with.”

Today the emphasis is on “diversity”. We should be willing to not only tolerate, but except those of another race, religion or lifestyle that is different than ours. It’s even gone further. Not only are we told to tolerate, accept, but we are demanded to.

For example, if you believe in the God of the Bible and believe that God is real and that his revealed truth is the way to live ones life, and do not believe  the way a group  of people live is right, according to them,  you are intolerant and bigoted.

They say, that I, being a Christian, should accept those of the LGBT movement. That I should accept those that don’t believe in a capitalistic form of government.  That America is a white supremacist county and no better than any other country, and in fact that it is worse. I am to accept that. I’m am not to push my religion and out of fashion morals down their throats. Fine, but do they push their beliefs or those that think otherwise? Are they “tolerant” of my beliefs and lifestyle? I think not.

Today, traditional Christianity, along with it’s adherence to the Bible and what it says about morality is out of vouge. They are, in fact, pushing their anti American new morality, or lack there of, off on us whom believe otherwise.

We see it in our entertainment. On TV commercials, in social media, and celebrations like “gay pride” month. We see it on our college campuses. They’ll invite liberal speakers, but will ban conservatives, or those that believe abortion is wrong. They are not accepting, or tolerating those of a different mind set or of a contray belief system or world view. Not only are they not tolerate, they become hostal and many times violant. Conservatives have been attacked and beaten by those of a liberal anti Christian or Jewish persuasion. They are maginalized and pursecuted. Simply put, they will not tolerate those who don’t agree with them.  They are hypocrites, and must be called out as such. That being said, we who call ourselves conservative Christians must continue to show them love. That while we don’t agree with their lifestyle or worldview, we have to model a “Christ like” behavior towards them, or we will be ineffectual. In short, hate the sin, but love the dinner. That is what Christ did and what we are to do as well. Love and tolerate even when we don’t feel like it or want to. It’s only then that we’ll make our best case for Christ. “Love covers a multitude of sins.”
