My wife and daughters get their nails done every two weeks. At about $65 + tip. Wether it’s Ohio or Texas, good economy or bad economy, these shops are packed! They are making money hand over fist. I mean really, you have to make an appointment 2-4 weeks out.
We knew one of the owners of one such shop in a small town in Ohio. Upon causally talking, my girls learned this couple sends their kids to private school, live in 1 million plus estate, and drive Cadillac Escalades.
Not only that, but most give poor service and talk about you in Vietnamese while you’re getting your nails done.
And it’s not rocket science! They go to cosmetology school for 6 months with an investment of approximately 5-7 thousand dollars.
Meanwhile, my daughter’s got a mountain of college loans to get info a profession that pays $40-60k a year.
Hey, I’m not to trying denigrate them. More power to them. If they came here legally and partake of our capitalist system, God bless them. I’m only pointing out that they’re a lot smarter than many of us.
