Recently Florida governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill to protect parental rights in education, stating, Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nuñez. “This bill refuses to allow school boards and teachers unions the ability to hide information about students from their parents. In addition, it prohibits classroom discussion in grades K-3 on gender orientation and sexual identity.”
Who would have thought you’d need a law for something like this? But sadly that’s where we are today. Our country, and it’s Judao-Christian principals upon which it was founded are under attack as never before.
This bill is being attacked the Disney corporation. “The Walt Disney Company has now come out against Florida’s Parental Rights In Education bill. The so-called “Don’t Say Gay’ bill.”
However, nowhere in the bill is the word “gay” mentioned. Further, a spokesman for Disney said, that they are going to have at least 50% of it’s characters gay or transsexuals. Even the president of the United States is against this bill. “In a tweet Tuesday evening, the President reacted to the bill’s passage by reinforcing his administration’s support for the LGBTQ+ community.”
Make no mistake, the woke liberal lunatic left is after our children.
My question is, what are we as followers of Christ doing about it? Moreover, what are our Christian leaders saying and doing about it? The answer is virtually, nothing. Seldom will you hear anything about human sexuality from our pulpits. What could be the reason? We don’t want to offend anybody? The church shouldn’t be involved in worldly matters? Wrong and wrong! The church is supposed to raise up a standard against the enemy (Isaiah 59:19). Well, “we are not of this world’. Yes, but right now we live in this world. Right now our children attend these public schools in this world. Shame on those of us that are disengaged under the guise of “spirituality”. We need to recognize that this is an assult on God himself. They’re perverting what God has called “good”. God “made them male and female.” Sex is to be enjoyed within the context of marriage.
It amazes me that while this blatant assault is evoking little to no response from the Church as a whole. We are supposed to engage our culture. We’re supposed to make a stand for the truth. We’re called to be “a light” to this dark world. While we watch our country slide further into depravity ask yourself, “is there not a cause?” Then why is the only thing that we hear is the sound of silence? This ought not to be.
