Whether you realize it or not, whether you want to be involved or not, make no mistake, we are in a war. America is under attack. No, there are no literal bombs being dropped on us by a foreign county, at least not yet. And although you can’t see it, it’s happening. It’s a supernatural, spiritual war. Satan and his demons are unleashing a barrage of attacks upon this great nation. There is a fight going on today for the soul of the nation. Will she remain true to her godly heritage, or will she become just like all the other godless nations? What if we just ignore it? I believe Ayn Rand said it best, “You can ignore reality, but you can’t ignore the consequences of ignoring reality.”
I will attempt to delineate the answers to the following questions. Who is doing the attacking? How are they attacking? And what should be our response?
Who’s doing the attacking? The simple answer is the people under the control and influence of Satan. Also called the spirit of antichrist. This spirit is against the authority and lordship of Christ. And the Bible tells us that he’s already here. In I John 4:3 we read, ” but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of antichrist, which you have heard and is already in the world.” Even we who are now followers of Christ used to go along with the spirit of antichrist. Eph 2:2 tells us, “In which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient” (NIV) Moreover, the Bible tells us “That we are of God, and the whole world is under the sway of the wicked one.” I John 5:19 (NKJ). So then, you can see that both the Spirit of God and the spirit of antichrist at work through human agents on the earth. One offers salvation and freedom, the other offers enslavement and death.
You may be thinking, well that’s great Joel, thanks for the Bible lesson, but you still haven’t answered who are these people exactly? Fair enough!
The Bible tells us “They shall be known by their fruits”. Here in America, they are the liberal far left crowd. They’re in government, the judicial system, entertainment, media/social media, and education. They do their darndest to corrupt and pervert everything and anything good, wholesome and Godly. They’re in the highest echelons of our society down to the ticket agent at Disney World. They cause the most damage when they’re in positions of leadership and authority. From the president down to state governors to the officials on various school boards. That’s why it’s so important to be involved in our election process. Like Obama once said, rather snidely I might add, “elections have consequences”.
I believe that Jeff Kinley in his book, The End of America, encapsules it succinctly (p.23-24), ” ..many of our nation’s leaders have sought to limit, and in some cases, eradicate completely the traditional biblical influence and spiritual fingerprint that once marked us as a nation. Both philosophically and practically, this fundamental transformation of America is being propagated and played out in the halls of government, colleges and universities’, political parties, the court system, public schools, and local communities. We have now become a society that is saturated in secularism. Those who believe in God (as defined in scripture) are aging, and the next generation of Americans are becoming increasingly unconvinced regarding the realities of God, Jesus, sin, salvation, and the trustworthiness of the Bible.”
Let me just state that we are reaping the fallout from an increasingly godless and secular society. The ramifications of a nation that’s turning her back on God are all around us. The exponential rise in crime, sexual perversions of every kind, the erosion of our constitutional rights, the downward spiral of our economy, just to name a few. Moreover, justice is subverted, truth is the new hate speech, and what was once shameful is now celebrated.
While many in the Church are sitting on the side lines others are pushing back against a tsunami of wickedness unleashed upon our nation. People like Florida governor Ron DeSantis, Texas governor Grag Abbott, South Dekota governor Kristi Noem, and Bremerton High school football coach Joe Kennedy. Coach Kennedy was fired by the school district for his practice of kneeling at the 50-yard line and silently praying after each game. He won his appeal and the Supreme Court ruled in his favor. There are also many organizations, too many to sight here, that are pushing back and taking a stand against abortion, CRT, radical deviant sexual perversions and lifestyles being taught in our public schools that target children as young as 6-7 years old. Regarding the latter, our public school system is vastly becoming an indoctrination camp for the radical left. Concerned parents across the county are taking issue with instruction and accommodations being made for the liberal woke left.
Just last year a headline read, “Louden County father who was dragged out of woke school board meeting reveals his daughter was ‘raped’ in the ‘girls’ bathroom by a ‘skirt-wearing’ male student who was arrested for assaulting a SECOND girl months later-but staff did nothing.” (By Jennifer Smith, Chief Reporter for Dailymail.com)
