We proudly exclaim that we live in the land of the free and the home of the brave, but our response as a nation to the Corona virus reveals otherwise.
Benjamin Franklin once said: “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.”
I find it ironic that many 4th of July fireworks displays and celebrations have been cancelled due to COVID-19 fears.
How quickly we have given up our freedom and acquiesced to fear so we can make sure we’re “safe”.
Those who live in fear are not free! Fear brings bondage!
To many I would say, “Happy 4th of July, cowards!
