As stated previously, in the beginning God created everything and called it “good” including sex. Under the curse and influence of Satan sex has been taken from it’s original intention and become twisted, tainted and perverted. It was intended to shared intimately between a husband and his wife.
Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.” 1 Cor 6:16
Further, the Bible calls sex outside of marriage fornication. Was God trying to keep us from having fun and enjoyment by limiting it as such? Certainly not! He was trying to protect this special shared gift to be enjoyed at it’s highest level.
However in our society today sex has been reduced to casual “hook-ups” between whoever wants to do it. Nothing is off limits. Living together, sex between men with men and women with women, group sex, or even sex with children. The latter is only still frowned upon and illegal at this moment in time.
The Bible tells us in Revelation that the “sexually immoral” will be cast into the lake of fire.
Let’s talk about homosexuality. Why is it a common practice today? What does the Bible have to say about it?
They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator–who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
You can find the above in Romans chapter 1.
In the Old Testament in Leviticus 20:13 If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.
Today, not only is homosexuality accepted, it is sanctioned and celebrated! “Gay pride month.” My friend, make no mistake, though our present society is okay with such, God will judge this and all immoral behavior. Though society may morph and change, God and his word do not.
(Up next we’ll examine what all this sexual deviation has brought us. And the here and now consequences.)
