No sane sane person would argue that there was never racism in America. Sure there was. We only have to look back at the era of slavery and the fight for civil rights back in the 50s and 60s. But to quote a line from an old TV commercial, “you’ve come a long way baby.” Indeed, we have come a long way.
Besides, there’s more examples than I can possibly mention here of how minorities have equal rights and opportunities now, and have had over the last 40 to 50 years. Simply put, there’s no opportunity afforded to white people than afforded to black and brown people. We have a myriad of laws protecting people of color. In fact,if anything, the pendulum has swung so far the other way that there could be a case for reverse discrimination. But that hasn’t stopped the radical left from trying to divide us based on the color of our skin. They cry that America’s systemically racist. But when asked to prove it they cannot give you any facts to back it up, because they simply do not exist!
I don’t know what you’ve noticed in the real world, but here’s what I have.
When I drive in my neighborhood I see black, white, and brown kids playing together. When I go to the movie theater or the mall I notice white, black, and brown teenagers congregating together, laughing, joking and fooling around with each other. The same is seen at school, work, gyms, and athletic fields across America. Furthermore, I’ve taken note on how many bi-racial couples there are nowadays. And those bi-racial couples are have kids. I read a story just the other day about a young child receiving “white sensibility training”at his school. He was told because he is white he has certain advantages over students of color and he needs to be aware of that. And how he needs to be aware of his “white privilege”. When the boys mother found out about it she was irate! Why, not just because on it’s face that it’s wrong, but because her boy’s father is black. It just happened to be that her boy’s skin color was much lighter, so he was perceived as a white kid. And there you have it! The very thing that that school was teaching against is the very thing they did. Of course, If you’ve been following the left, hypocrisy is a common occurrence with them.
The bottom line is children are never inherently racist. They have to be taught racism. How about if instead of resurrecting racism, we just it die? Because if it weren’t for the race baters, it would have been dead years ago.
