Well, it should be most obvious by now that we are in a war. Albeit a spiritual war with real world ramifications. We see the results of such all around us. For example, the war on free speech, the war on the rights of parents, the war on the traditional family, the war on the US constitution, the war on freedom, the war on Capitalism, and the war on the very principles our country was founded upon.
In 2008 Obama plainly stated that he was out “to fundamentally change America.” Then years later, presidential candidate Joe Biden said, “This campaign isn’t about winning votes. It’s about winning the heart and, yes, the soul of America.” Biden even reiterated the statement in April of 2023, “When I ran for president four years ago, I said we are in a battle for the soul of America. And we still are. That’s why I’m running for reelection.” Do you still think we aren’t in a war?
Now whether you get involved in the fight is completely up to you, but don’t complain about the darkness if you refuse to shine the light. Just know this, many are fighting back, and they are getting results. In spite of this though, many of us are still just sitting on the sidelines wondering if it’s “spiritual” to join the fray, while others have taken up arms and mounted a defense. Lest anyone misunderstand, “taking up arms” is used in a figurative sense. Nobody is suggesting that we use firearms against those who oppose us. Although, history is replete with those that had in routing out repressive governments and tyrants. Point being, they’re fighting back.
A couple of days ago de-transitioner Chloe Cole testified before congress, making a desperate plea for Congress to act against gender treatments and surgeries. She stated, “I needed therapy to help me work through my issues. Not affirm my delusion that by transitioning into a boy to solve all my problems. We need to stop telling children that puberty is an option, rather puberty is a rite of passage to adulthood, not a disease to be mitigated.” Additionally, there are many de-transitioners coming out on social media with their heart wrenching stories of regret. In fact, suicide is rampant among those that are now adults who have transitioned as children. Suicide, the very thing these radicals use to pressure parents to allow their kids to “transition”.
Former collegiate swimmer Riley Gains has been a prolific, outspoken young woman who has been fighting the allowance of biological males in women’s sports and in their locker rooms. Others, like Ron DeSantis, via his governance, put an end to CRT and the sexualization of children in public schools. Moreover, companies like Bud Light, Target, Disney, and CMT, found out the hard way that “go woke, go broke” wasn’t just a cliche. We need to stop funding any company that espouses woke/anti-Christain ideology. While many vote with their pocketbooks, others are taking a much bolder stance.
“Alabama library caves after Brave Books and Kirk Cameron stand up to its attempt to deny Americans a venue.” Imagine, they’re perfectly fine with the sordid affair of “Drag Queen story hour” but not a man reading moral virtues.
“Ramaswamy demands Tennessee governor, FBI release Nashville school shooter’s manifesto: ‘Speak the truth”. Imagine if it was a middle-aged, white, Trump supporter? Hmm…
“Bay Area Christians fighting city which took down cross: ‘They really hate what it stands for’. (Read that last part again).
“Moms for Liberty speaks out in support of Kirk Cameron’s book reading: Following God’s directions’. By the way these Moms for Liberty have been fighting liberal indoctrination in our public schools across the country.
“Wisconsin street preacher arrested after protesting at drag event for families, viral video shows.” When asked for comment the preacher said, “It was worth it”. Would you risk being arrested for such? I wonder how we would have done being first century Christians like those in the book of Acts…myself included.
“NBA player Jonathan Isaac launches anti-woke, pro-Christian alternative to Nike: Our values are valid’.
Additionally, many others have been pushing back against this onslaught of wickedness overtaking our nation today, like Charlie Kirk with his organization, Turning Point USA. They go to college campuses across the country fighting against socialist/communist ideology and the censoring of free speech. Moreover, there are those who aren’t even Christians, far from it, that are speaking out. Such as Joe Rogan, Elon Musk, and at times, Bill Maher.
The fact is, they can do such because our constitution isn’t totally trashed…yet. There have been victories as well.
For example, “Illinois college ordered to pay Christian student $80k for silencing conservative views.” “Joe Kennedy, an assistant high school football coach in Washington state, has accepted a $1,775,000 settlement package from the school district that fired him over his post-game prayer ritual after a court found the move was unconstitutional.”
And most recently, Donald Trump is fighting a weaponized Department of “Injustice” for going after him and trying to meddle in the 2024 Presidential Election. Do you honestly think they’d be doing this if he wasn’t leading in the polls? We’re beginning to look more like a Banana Republic every day.
Most of these things would have never been issues 20-30 years ago. What happened?
As a society we’ve lost our national identity. Simply put, we don’t agree on what it is to be an American anymore. We are divided into two camps. One is the old traditional America, the other, a nation that’s basically evil, oppressive, and congenitally racist. One, proud to be an American, the great liberator, “the shinning city set on the hill”, the other, a nation that’s the world’s bully and needs to apologize for thinking its “exceptional”. Funny, we used to all agree who we were. Now we can’t even agree what a woman is! Truly, we have lost our way.
You may be thinking, “I don’t want to take sides”. However, by default you already have. And if you choose to be passive in this day of national identity crisis, you’re just giving fodder to the other side. “Complacent conservatives must at least recognize that inaction is a sort of action” (Michael Knowles, “Speechless”)
Hell, I used to say, “live and let live.” If you want to be gay, be gay! If you want to be transgender, trans into anything you want to! Just don’t push that crap on me. Then I found out that kind of thinking comes back to bite you in the rear. Understand, they’re called “progressives” for a reason. They’ll do anything but, “live and let live”. They’re proud of their debauchery and demand that you celebrate them. And if you don’t, they’ll try and beat you into submission. They’ll make your life a living Hell. Why? I think the late, great, Rush Limbaugh said best, “we think they’re wrong…they think we’re evil.”
Make no mistake, there’s a revolution going on. There is a coup d’ Etat. It may not be by military means, but they are trying to overthrow government by corrupting it from the inside. And believe it or not, it started as early as the 1920s (I don’t have time to get into that here, but trust me, it did.) The good news is in spite of what all the propagandists are telling you, we still have the majority. Although it’s waning fast. However, at this pace we will be the minority in 5-10 years. Then the fun will really start! Remember, “All those who live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” (2 Tim:3:12) Conversely, if you’re not willing to suffer persecution, you won’t be living godly. It’s that simple.
Lastly, I am done with excuses why we Christians shouldn’t get involved. I’ve heard them all. Things like, “Brother, we want to be accepting…inclusive.” Sorry, but you’ve bought into their lie. “Brother, what would Jesus do? He loves everyone!” Yes, he does, but he’s also a God of righteousness and holiness. News flash, he loves the reprobates all the while sending them to Hell if they don’t repent. Read your Bible! His love doesn’t nullify His righteousness. You can love them AND take a stand for the truth. The two aren’t mutually exclusive. Does driving out the money changers in the Temple ring a bell?
Yes, there’s a mad world rising, but I’m mad, and rising too! Only the definition is vastly different. I don’t know about you, but I’m fighting back. I’m taking a stand. I hope that you will too. It’s high time to fight back!
P.S. I was going to post this as is, but I realized that I left out one most important question; why? Why would it be important to fight back? Answer- Truth! Our Lord is “the Way, the Truth and the Life.” (John 14:6) Truth = Light. A Lie = darkness. We are children of the light, and we are to speak the truth, stand up for the truth, and if need be, die for the truth. As the world becomes more evil, evil men hate the light all that much more. Most people don’t like to be told the truth because they’re children of darkness. Evil people want to snuff out the light. Always have. But they can’t. They can kill me. They can kill you. But there will always be believers after us that will stand up and speak the truth. This is exactly what John 1:5 means, “The light shines in the darkness and the darkness can never extinguish it.” (The Living Translation). So shine on my friends!
