If you’ve been paying any attention to the news lately, you’d realize that something is terribly wrong. Yes, there has always been news stories that would shock our collective sensibilities. Ever since Cain murdered his brother Abel people have been doing evil things to each other. Murder, rape robbery, child abuse, etc. Although, as a society we once were pretty much in agreement about what was right and what was wrong. And most everyone wanted the perpetrators punished and the injured to get their justice. But what happens when a society veers off course? When the lines are blurred, or worse, when there are no longer any lines? When the moral compass of many no longer has a true North? What you have then is a mad society. A society that is collectively mentally ill. Facts no longer matter, and common sense becomes anything but common, and truth becomes relative.
What comes to mind when you think of someone who’s mad or insane? Most of us think of someone who has demonstrably recognizable behavior. Like that of the man on a New York subway that former Marine Sergeant Daniel Penny put in a choke hold. That man had a long history of mental illness and was arrested several times for physically injuring people. Unfortunately, he ended up losing his life because he was threatening women and children on the subway train. However, there are countless others who are mentally ill who infect people, not physically, but with their demonic ideology. Many of whom appear to operate within the law and even hold respectable jobs; but their behavior is no less insane. They’ve infiltrated various levels of our society. They’re in government, education, entertainment, media, and sports. Scripture even warns us about these people, they espouse “the doctrines of demons”.
There are two overall key points that I would like to bring out from which I will hang the rest of my commentary upon. First, in Romans 11:28 we are told that God “gave them over to a “reprobate mind” (KJV). Another version says a “depraved” mind. It means “morally corrupt; wicked.” Simply put, because they reject God and do not honor God, they forfeit the ability to comprehend truth. Hence, they are in a perpetual state of darkness. Secondly, sin and insanity often go hand in hand. Mentally ill people are not in their right mind and act erratically, irrationally, and are often destructive to themselves and others. Moreover, much of society’s malaise is because of their demonic ideology. It’s the demons in people that twist their thoughts and thus become manifest by their actions. In Luke 8, Jesus confronted a demon possessed man. We are told that this man was naked and lived in a cemetery. He would cut himself with stones and he was so strong that they could not restrain him. On a side note, I believe demon possessed people not only have supernatural physical strength but can have extramundane power of persuasion. In other words, they can influence others to accept and act in a way they wouldn’t otherwise. But I digress.
Notice that Jesus didn’t recommend that he see a counselor or ask him if he hated his mother or father, He recognized that he was possessed by demons and He cast them out. Later, we’re told that this same man was “sitting at the feet of Jesus, fully clothed and in his right mind.” The main problem is that many today are simply not in their right minds. They’re not thinking correctly or clearly, but then again how could they? They’re in darkness. Observe some of the recent events below.
In Colorado an army veteran, a Kings Soopers employee, was fired for filming shoplifters stealing $500 worth of laundry detergent from the store. It was even though he helped law enforcement catch the suspects. I recall thinking to myself, that’s just crazy. That’s it, these people have gone mad. They are mentally ill. In fact, much of what’s going on today, deemed “normal” , is on its face, insane. It goes contrary to all common sense and decency. Pondering further, I thought, no one in their right mind would take their children to a drag queen show. No one in their right mind would teach and encourage little children to masturbate and have all sorts of sorted sex with each other and even adults like they’re doing in several public-school districts. No one in their right mind would think it’s okay to remove the breasts off a perfectly normal 13-year-old little girl. No one in their right mind would give a little boy a puberty blocker because he’s been indoctrinated into believing that he was born into the wrong body. These people deny science. They deny basic biology. Their actions go against basic common sense. Consequently, many now believe they can change their gender. They believe that biological men can have babies. They now believe that a biological man (transgender) can nurse. They believe that (transgender) men can menstruate and have babies. And they’ll attack you if you don’t agree and affirm them. How is this kind of thinking not insane? Clearly, what we have is a national case of the inmates running the asylum. Moreover, these sick people are at the highest levels of government, education, corporate America, and the entertainment industry.
When you see a gay pride event hosted by the White House, with the LGBTQ+ flag given prominence over the American flag, with the President of the United States taking selfies with a Transexual who later bares his fake breasts for the press, how is that not insane behavior? Additionally, when you know that our border has been wide open for the past three years and drugs are pouring across causing over 70,000 deaths a year and that child sex trafficking has increased exponentially because of such, how is that not insane? On a side note, border patrol has lost tract of some 85,000 child immigrants.
Recently a father posted a tirade on Tik Tok because his wife informed him that their sons, 7 and 9, were exposed to gender ideology during a routine checkup at the doctor’s office. They needed a physical to play tackle football in the Fall. The nurse asked the 9 year little boy if he identifies as a boy, girl, genderfluid, or non-binary. When the father heard that he was livid. His boys had never heard of these terms before. In the profanity laced video he said, “it’s just good that my wife took them instead of me!” Profanity notwithstanding, I don’t blame him. These are our children! Our society has gone mad! It’s insanity and yet they’re trying to label us as crazies. I guess we’re just… transphobic?
Consider this, in the military years ago, if it was discovered that you were a homosexual, you could get discharged from the armed services. They considered it a mental disorder. From 1939-1942 they were labeled “unfit” soldiers. Fast forward decades later, during the Clinton administration, the official policy then was, “don’t ask, don’t tell”. Now we have drag shows hosted by the military. We have recruiting campaigns crafted by transexuals. The truth is that transexuals are suffering from mental illness. Instead of treating them for such, we’re affirming, celebrating, and even propagating their mental illness. Moreover, in some states they’re making laws that could make misgendering a felony offense. This is madness!
Leave mental illness aside, all of what they espouse just makes no sense. What was always common sense is now viewed as an aberration. Men competing in women’s sports. Biological boys use the women’s bathrooms and locker rooms in many high schools and in universities. Exposing children to pornography. Grown men riding bikes completely naked at various gay pride parades. At one parade there was a S&M float where a man had a leather choker leash on another man while whipping the man’s almost totally naked rear end. All this while children were in attendance. Twenty years ago, they’d be arrested! Additionally, they teach that socialism is good, capitalism is bad, and America is systematically racist. These and many other examples simply deny common sense, are perverse, and are evidence of a Godless society.
In times past, we used to be able to employ the power of choice. We’d just change the channel, not go to that web site, not go see that movie, and not patronize that store, etc. However, perversity has become so ubiquitous it can’t be avoided. It’s in Disney movies, cartoons and TV shows. i.e. “New live-action ‘Snow White’ dumps seven dwarves for seven multi-racial, mixed-gender magical creatures. It’s in commercials; two men kissing, a surgery you can get if your “male part” is bent you can have it straight again, shavers you can buy to shave “down there”, a lotion that can mask the order of your crotch. Can you think of any reason why one would need this? It’s in schools and universities and it’s out on full public display. Have you been out shopping lately in any retail store? I have. And wasn’t sure what the gender of the person that waited on me was; male, female, or a combination of both? It’s like a freak show at the mall! Talk about misgendering. The point being that you no longer can keep your kids safe from being exposed to this insane perversity. Worse yet, they’re sanctioning and funding it. For example, Seattle public schools will offer ‘gender affirming care’ to students as young as 11 years old at no cost.
Joe Biden says that it’s his job to make sure that children are protected by making “gender affirming care” (genital mutilation) available to all who are “transitioning”. That their mental health depends upon it. This is insanity and madness.
It’s just common sense why a minor can’t get a tattoo, buy cigarettes, alcohol, vote, buy a gun, get into R rated movies, sign up for the military, and make a host of other adult decisions. Why? Because their brains aren’t fully developed. They don’t fully understand the ramifications of making these kinds of decisions. How can they decide to have gender mutilating surgeries and take puberty blockers? It makes no sense to any rationally thinking person. It’s just plain common sense, right? But what if common sense gets altered?
In his book, “Speechless”, Michael Knowles writes, “No revolution can succeed if it opposes common sense. Therefore, the cleaver revolutionary must transform the common sense to accord with his vison…To raise the awareness of these people, to transform the common sense, one must subtly uproot and replant their culture.” p. 20
I submit to you that the outlaws are fast becoming in-laws, and the in-laws are fast becoming outlaws. Perpetrators are granted clemency and victims are being vilified. This is precisely why elections matter. Put the wrong people in office, appoint the wrong people to the judiciary, and then by simply trying to live out your faith, we become the criminals. Think that can’t happen? News flash! It’s happening now!
Some states are passing laws that if you don’t allow your confused little girl to get “gender affirming care”, CPS can remove that child from your home. Look at some other recent headlines: “Newly amended California bill could punish parents refusing to ‘affirm’ child’s gender identity”. And misgendering someone in Michigan may get you convicted of a felony. “Michigan House passes bill that could make using wrong pronouns a felony, finable up to $10,000.” In Dane county, Wisconsin, they are considering a resolution granting access to kids that are “transitioning” as a fundamental right. One Cincinnati Ohio school district said to “consider’ reporting child abuse if parents are unsupportive of child’s gender identity. A Virginia mom says activists threatened to ‘curb stomp’ her for speaking out against the school’s curriculum. Additionally, Biden’s DHS appeared to consider targeting pro-life moms and other ‘radicalization suspects’ docs show. Parents are being sued for simply speaking out against sexually explicit books in the school libraries. There is a bill being considered in the state Washington which would allow medical transgender interventions on minors without parental consent.
What was once insane is now sane, what was once just common sense now makes no sense, what was once labeled perverted is now acceptable, what was once considered evil is now good, what was once considered settled science is now deemed pseudo-science. We now live in a mad upside-down world and it’s rising…and rising fast.
