I wrote this several months ago but thought it to be relevant today with all the crap passing for news.
Mark Twain once wrote, “whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it’s time to pause and reflect.” It’s like when your Mom asked you after you got into trouble when you were a kid, “why did you do that?” And you answer, “we’ll everyone else was doing it!” Then she says, “well, if everyone else jumped off a bridge, would you?” I was a smart aleck so I would answer something like, “well it would all depend if what was chasing me was scarier than what’s at the bottom of the bridge.”
The thing is, that we tend to accept as fact what the majority is saying and how they react to the information given. But, does that make it true? Is the information correct? I will attempt to show you that it indeed is not.
We are all continually bombarded by propaganda from all the major news outlets and social media 24/7. Notice I said, “propaganda” and not “news”. News is factual information without bias. You then decide how you are going to respond to the information given. On the other hand, “propaganda” is “information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view.” In other words, “news” is meant to inform you, and “propaganda” is meant to persuade you.
Propaganda is more deleterious to the United States than Covid-19 could ever be. Because of it, we just about destroyed the best economy we’ve ever had and many died because of our response to it. “Lockdowns,” “stay at home orders,” and “self isolating,” have killed countless americans. Suicides, depression, and obesity increased. Drug abuse, child abuse and domestic abuse rose significantly. People have died because they couldn’t go to the hospital and get the surgeries that they needed.These are only some of the adverse results. And most recently, it cost Trump the election, which we will explore later.
All of these overkill, knee jerk reactions are literally killing us! “Well they’re just following the science.” Give me a break! Scientists aren’t even following science! “Well Dr. Fauci said.” Really? At first he said it’s nothing we shouldn’t worry about. Then he said that masks don’t work. Then, yes masks do work. You must always wear a mask and keep six feet apart. He also said that we will reach herd immunity once 75% receive a vaccine. Now he said it would have to be 90-95%. Meanwhile, we have masks, gloves, signs on floors of where to stand, signs on doors, PSAs, travel bans and plexiglass barriers. No gathering together. Close the bars, churches, restaurants, stadiums, and schools. When I go out now it feels like I walked onto the set of a Star Trek episode. It’s so surreal! And guess what? It’s still spreading!!
Most of what is called “news” today is nothing but left wing, liberal propaganda designed to make you conform to certain mandates that most often limit, or greatly impede, your personal constitutional freedoms. It’s about power and control. Moverover, any narrative that is contrary to their narrative is censored. For example, the infamous Hunter Biden/Lap Top story that first came out via the New York Post was completely censored by just about 100% of the media including big tech. Even the FBI is complicit in that they covered up the fact that they had Hunter Biden’s now infamous laptop for almost a year and all the while Trump was being investigated for “collusion with Russia”. On that PC, we have since learned that several Hunter Biben emails seem to implicate his father Joe Biden as being involved in unscrupulous business dealings with China and other foreign nations. And that, at the very least, could have jeopardized our national security. Amazingly, the story did not come out until after the election. That happen by chance? I think not!
Moveover, there were no leaks of the story! Isn’t that amazing with all the leaks about Trump and Russia, not one FBI leak for months when the subject was the Bidens? Do you honestly think this was accidental? NO! Not to mention that 98% of all the “news” about president Trump has been negative despite all he’s accomplished in just four years. The news is as much about what they’re not telling you as much as it is that they are telling you. Is it any wonder that, according to a gallup poll, that 41% of the people surveyed do not trust the media?
Again, I say that this may have very well cost Trump a second term by allowing massive mail in ballots that made the election rife for voter fraud. The left wing comunist style propaganda evoked so much fear many voters were afraid to go vote in person. Although these same people seemed not to have any problem shopping at overcrowded big box stores and rioting. It’s like what Eric Holder said, “never let a good crisis go to waste.”
As further evidence during the presidential debates, did you see any difference in the way the moderators treated president Trump and former vice-president Joe Biden? Have you noticed the difference how reporters in general ask questions of Trump vs Biden? They attacked and debated with Trump and lobbed soft ball questions at Biden. One time a reporter asked, “Mr. Biden, what flavor of ice cream did you get?” Not, “Mr. Biden, why have you been hiding in your basement all these months?” “Is it true that you have dementia?”
As we have seen, propaganda is biased and designed to have you react for mostly political purposes. So what are we being told about the Coronavirus “pandemic”? Notice I used quotations around the word pandemic. “Pan” means all. Covid-19 is not a pandemic. It’s simply not killing most healthy people who get it. In fact, 99.997% of the people who do get it will survive. Ever ask yourself why you’re not getting stories or statistics on how many people recover? Or the fact that there’s a rise in cases, but you’re not being told there’s a consummate rise in testing?
Propaganda reporters choose what information to leave out as much as what information they leave in.But what about all these deaths? Recently a man died in a motorcycle crash. He happened to test positive for Covid, so they labeled the cause of death Covid-19. This happens more often than not. Hospitals get money from the government for each Covid death reported. My wife and I personally know people who work at our local hospital who attest to this as a common practice. If someone dies due to something else, but they test positive for Covid, guess what? They list the cause of death as Covid. And when media outlets highlight one aspect of something that is partly true, but it’s not in context, and they disseminate that information only, it’s called “spin”. You’re getting the news from “spin doctors” (not the rock group, and the pun very much intended). True journalism is all but dead. This below is one prime example.
Sophie Mann published an article on November 27th, 2020, about an article from John Hopkins university that has since been taken down. In it she tells of Genevive Briand, the Assistant Program Director of Applied Economics, and professor of their master’s degree program. Miss. Briand is also a statistician. In other words, she deals with numbers. Not science, not conjecture, just what the formula works out to be.
In the article she postulates that, “the only way to understand the significance of the U.S. Coronavirus death rate is by comparing it to the number of total deaths in the country.” She compared the total number of deaths, per age group, from both before and after the onset of Covid-19. Briand states, “the reason we have a higher number of reported Covid-19 deaths among older individuals than younger individuals is simply because every day in the U.S. older individuals die in higher numbers than younger individuals.” Isn’t that a revelation? (sarcasm)
In drilling down further, she lays out the statistical evidence in looking at deaths in different age groups. Let me just give you the abridged finding. (you can go out on the net and listen to the whole thing yourself if you wish). What she found is that when they give you the number of Covid deaths they don’t take into account all the deaths that normally happen during a definitive time period in each age group. Parenthetically let me just add that the number one killer is cardiovascular disease.
The most interesting thing to me was the fact that shortly after the aforementioned article was published on the John Hopkins university site, they removed it! And get this, they labeled it as part of “the spread of misinformation about Covid-19.” It was their professor! Their site! And it was based on facts!
OK, my Language Arts Teacher/Daughter would “ding” this paper for what I’m about to do, but indulge me while going off on a tangent about death. It wouldn’t be the first time I had a red pen go wild on one of my papers.
Death is a fact of life.
We all are going to die.
Nobody knows when or what will be their demise.
Death is no respecter of persons.
People die of a myriad of causes every day. (i.e.90 people die each day from motor vehicle crashes on US roads. On average, someone dies from cardiovascular disease every 37 seconds.)
I submit to you that the real “pandemic” is SIN. Not the Coronavirus, not cancer or heart disease or anything else. “Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and this way death came to all people because all sinned.” Romans 5:12 NIV And there’s only one vaccine. That vaccine is the shed blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We who have received Christ as our Lord and Savior will still die physically ( because of the curse), but our spirit will live on in the presence of God forever. “After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.” 1 Thessalonians 4:7 NIV The Bible goes on to inform us that the Lord will put an end to death. “The last enemy to be destroyed is death.” 1 Corinthians 12:26 NIV Those of us who believe in the Lord and His word have nothing to fear. We are not to have the spirit of fear! (see 2 Timothy 1:7)
Wouldn’t be great to see CNN report something like, “22,000 people died in their sins today, but 150 others received Christ prior to their death. We go live now to North Carolina for a comment from the Rev. Franklin Graham.” Not going to happen.
In summary, much of the news you’re getting is propaganda and not news. You’re either getting only a partly true story, a spun story or a complete lie. They do this for purely political purposes. So if you don’t want to be propagandised, stop listening to and reacting to all the propaganda passed off as news. Do some research and apply some critical thinking! Don’t just jump off the bridge just because everyone else is! Your mother will love you for it.
