OK, I’ve had it up to here (you can’t see it but I’m pointing to my neck) with all this talk about gun control!

Let me put it so a 2nd grader can understand it. If you continue to defund the police and abolish (or greatly restrict) the 2nd A, you’ll get higher rates in crime, not less.

I just read a headline today, “55 shot in mayor Lori Lightfoot’s Chicago.”  It’s not the guns that need control, it’s the criminals who will always find a way to get their hands on the guns.

Let’s just say, that there was a law passed in Congress and signed into law that basically made owning any firearm illegal. Some of you may be thinking, “good, about damn time!”  Ok, let’s say we made drug laws in America basically outlawing all non doctor prescribed drugs. O’ we did! How’s that working out??

What’s the point? Well it’s that if those intent on braking the law (aka criminals) are not going to care about your damn laws!  It kills me (no pun intended) when I hear of some nut job opening fire on people in a “gun free zone”. It’s like removing all the doors and windows in a bank and leaving just a sign, “bank robbers will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.” Sign, sign, everywhere’s a sign (I digress).

Last point. Those that are yelling the loudest are usually politicians, big name actors, and those affluent enough to afford their own security detail.  And guess what? They have guns!

If you want to have a discussion about more funding for mental health, and/or how to get properly trained on fire arms, by all means let’s have those conversations. Otherwise, shut up because you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about and you don’t make a logical argument on gun control.

(If you’d like to know about what I think about concealed carry and and training, I will be posting about it in the near future)
