Just days after the withdrawal from Afghanistan disaster Biden announced his vaccine mandates. He’s on record of previously saying that he would not mandate vaccines because he didn’t have the power to do so. So why did he do it? Surely he knew the controversy that would follow and the pushback it would cause.
As I have written previously the Democrats are Masters of Deflection. The focus of the nation was on the fallout from Afghanistan. We had 13 of our service members killed. The Taliban took over Afghanistan. 85 billion dollars of our equipment and weapons were now in the hands of the Taliban. Our allies were criticizing Biden’s decision. Americans and those that helped us were left behind enemy lines. Videos began to surface of people pleading for rescue. They feared the reprisal of the Taliban. There were rumors of the Taliban going door to door looking for those who had helped Americans being murdered. Their young daughters were being taken to become wives and sex slaves of much older Taliban men. Military experts were going of TV calling it the worst foreign policy decision ever made. Biden’s approval rating was the lowest it had ever been.
With the 2022 election just months away the Democrats knew they were in trouble. Something had to be done to take the focus off this behemoth debacle. And it was.
Biden goes on TV and announces his sweeping vaccine mandates for all governmental employees, all military personnel and those private employers with more than 100 people. And just like that the Titanic veered away from the hugh iceberg and headed for a smaller one. It was still in trouble, but it was the lesser of to the two evils.
We simply cannot let him get away it. He must be held accountable. We all need to work to this end. Write or call your congressmen. Keep hammering away on social media. Peacefully protest in the streets.
