Did you know that the believer in Christ has power over demonic spirits? According to Mark 16:17 “and these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name they shall cast out devils.” Another translation says, “demons.” Notice the words “shall follow”, it means it’s to be a common occurring sign of those who believe and follow Christ. Further, in Matt 10:1 the Bible tells us that our Lord gave power over “unclean spirts”. And in verse 8 of the same chapter, we are commanded to cast these demonic spirits out of people who are bound by them. Yes, we have that power according to Luke 10: 17, 19, Mark 3:13, and 15. We’re not talking about only certain preachers, teachers, or evangelists; it’s ANYONE who believes! So, why don’t we exercise (no pun intended) our God given authority over these demonic entities?
Well for one, we’re not being taught about it from the pulpit. Two, we haven’t seen it happen. When, if ever, have you seen a believer cast out an evil spirit? When, if ever, have you wared in the Spirit by prayer and taking authority over, in the name of Christ Jesus, over a family member? Over your community? Over your school district? Over your local government? Over your nation? The sad fact is that we’re not and we’re seeing the results of such.
When you see drag queens specifically targeting our children, those are “unclean spirits” at work. When you see school districts indoctrinating and grooming our children with sexual perversity in the classroom, those are the works of “unclean spirits.” When you see the ubiquitous proliferation of transsexuals every where your turn, those are the works of “unclean spirits.”
It used to be that we could escape it. We just wouldn’t watch that program, we just wouldn’t attend that event. We just wouldn’t patronize that company. But not now. It’s virtually impossible to shield our children from all of it. It’s in their cartoons, in their schools, in all forms of entertainment, it’s in our department stores, in our government, and it’s on any internet connected device.
This just didn’t start over night. These spirits were hiding in the background and then began their progressive march incrementally, over time, to take more and more ground. And most of us, Bible believing, church going, Christians just ignored it. We let it happen! What, did you think the enemy was just going to only go so far? Did you think it “unspiritual” to make a stand? To get involved because “well brother, we’re not of this world.” Yeah, but you must live in it! You must raise your children in it! Guess what folks, the silent majority is soon becoming the minority. And when that is complete, you’ll either bow, or take a stand. You choose the former, you forfeit heaven, you choose the latter, and it will be hell on earth for you!
Understand what these spirits are, They’re unclean, dirty, and filthy. They cause those who they have control over to have dirty, perverted, and twisted thoughts and behavior. Their job is to recruit others. To corrupt them. If you notice, 99% of their corruption is sexual. They took God’s gift of sex that He intended as an expression of love within the confines of marriage and made it all about self-gratification. Then when mankind soon found out that the normal act of sex wasn’t that fulfilling (because nothing on this earth satisfies completely), they began to try all sorts of deviant acts of sexual depravity. I don’t mean to gross, but it is gross! Men having sex with men (anal sex), oral sex, multiple partner sex, sadomasochism sex, sex with children, and children having sex with other children (which by the way, some schools in the county are advocating. NOT kidding). I just found out that the public library in the town I currently live has pornographic books geared towards children replete with illustrations. It’s sick, twisted, and demonic. The people who write, teach, and promote these things are demonic. Additionally, this whole “trans” thing is demonic. They deny science and common sense. The truth is, you’re born as a boy or a girl. You have either a XX or XY chromosome. I don’t care what hormone drugs you take or what you get cut off, or added to your body, or what pronouns you use, you are what you were born as. You don’t have 57 gender choices!
Now, while we’ve been sleeping, and/or ignoring these things, the above is deemed normal, acceptable, good, and even celebrated. And guess what, our Biblical view of family and sexuality is viewed as oppressive and evil. In some states now, if your kid believes they’re the wrong sex (because they’ve been indoctrinated), and you don’t support them, CPS can LEGALLY remove them from your home! Moreover, if you don’t support their madness, you can lose your parental rights altogether!
Back to the church. All but a few of us have been silent, uninvolved, or just plain apathetic. I know what some of you may be thinking. Bro, didn’t you believe the Bible when it says that in the last days things will keep getting worse and worse? Yep, I’ve thought about that. My answer, “not on my watch, not with my children, and not without one hell of a fight!” Question, when in the history of the church did it just lay down and give up? On the contrary, in Acts 4, when Peter and John were commanded not to speak or teach in the name of Jesus, they did not obey. When Paul was harassed by a servant girl with a demonic spirit, he cast it out! Where is that power in today’s church? It seems that we’re more afraid of those with demons than they are of the people of God! News flash, if you’re not salt or light, you’re unless. Word of God, not mine!
God’s word tells us that we have authority over demonic spirits. God’s word tells us that there is power in the name of Christ. God’s word tells us that, “they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto death.” Rev 12:11. The problem is that many of us can’t even endure not being liked, let alone face death because of our faith! Last question, and it’s not mine, it’s His. “Nevertheless, when the Son of Man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:8 (b)
