In this introduction to Islam, I’ll attempt to show you where it started, what they believe, and what their overall intentions are. The information listed below is not exhaustive by any means, but for the sake of time, a cursory overview.
Anyone criticizing any aspect of Islam is viewed by liberals as being Islamophobic and politicly incorrect. Just for the record, I’m not Islamophobic. Having a “phobia” means that you have an extreme or irrational fear whatever the prefix is before the “phobia”. Let’s say I have a deep fear of spiders. Then I have arachnophobia. Now I don’t fear Islam, but I’m very concerned about its proliferation and so should you!
A projection done by the Pew Research Center indicate that the Muslim population in America is slated to grow to 6.2 million by 2030. Muslim households average 3.4 children per family. This makes it the fastest growing religion in the world. Today, there are approximately 235-300 Islamic schools in The United States. According to ispu.org, in 2020 there were 2,769 Mosques in the United States. The first city that are majority Muslim is Hamtramck, Michigan. They have an all-Muslim city council. However, the largest Muslim population is in Dearborn, Michigan. A 2023 survey indicated that 55% of its residents are Muslim. Just recently, Dearborn Mayor, Adullah Hammoud, responded to noise complaints about a mosque’s call to prayer, saying it’s “not an issue”. He went so far as to tell a Christian minister, who was part of those who complained, that he wasn’t wanted there in Dearborn. You may be thinking, so what? Well, I’m here to enlighten you on the “what”.
Where it started
Where did it all start? The Muslims believe that Allah is God and his holy prophet is Mohammed, Allah’s “Apostle of Truth”. It is said that in 610AD that Mohammed; while praying in a cave near Mecca, an angel appeared to him prompting him write the Qur’an. Now Mohammed was illiterate, so the actual passages were written with the help of his companions that were also called scribes. He claimed that a spirit entity which later describes itself as the angel Gaberial was the impetus. For the next 23 years this “angel” would come to him and have him memorize and recite the given sayings. Those of us that hold to the Christian faith and Biblical theology will rightly recognize that this “Gaberial” was nothing more than a demonic spirit. We shall see, by the evidence of demonic influence, how Mohammed lived his life as well as many of that of his followers.
The “holy prophet” had 13-15 wives, many concubines as well as slave mistresses. One of his wives was Aisha. She was 6 or 7 when they wed, but he waited until she was 9 to consummate the marriage. Moreover, Mohammed received one fifth of the women taken in war as a booty. Not surprisingly, the Qur’an made it permissible to have sexual relations with these captured women. In other words, he was sex crazed pedophile. Mohammed died in 623AD. After his death there was contention of who Mohammed’s heir apparent would be.
There are several secs of Muslims, but the two main ones are Sunni and Shi’ite. The Sunnis believe that Mohammed’s wife’s father, Abu Bakr, inherited Mohammed’s authority, while the Shi’ites believed his son-in-law, Ali Ibn Talib, who was married to Mohammed’s daughter Fatima, were the rightful heirs of Islam. Although both believe in the 5 Pillars of Islam, they have fought with each other from then up until today. About 90% of Muslims are Sunni, while only 10% are Shia. On a side note, most Palestinians are Sunni. Both believe that Islam is the one and only true religion in the world and only Allah is God. Both believe that the whole world will eventually submit to Islam and Sheria law, now or “on the last day”. Moreover, both view all people as either Muslims or Infidels (unbelievers). One group, “moderate Muslims”, believe in conquering and attaining domination via diplomacy, and the “radical Muslims”, believe dominance will only be achieved by violence and force. Perhaps an oversimplified example might be, on 9/11 after 19 radical Muslims attacked the United States, hundreds of moderate Muslims celebrated in the streets and on top of buildings. Ever wonder why you didn’t hear any condemnation after the 9/11 attack by any American Muslim imams? Me either, until I did some research.
There basically two books’ Muslims live by. One is the Qur’an, and the other is called the Hadith. Most of us have heard about the former but not the latter. The Hadith is a collection of reports about the sayings, actions, and approvals of the Islamic Prophet Muhammed. It is under the direction of these two writings, and the ideology therein, that countless atrocities have been and are continuing to be committed, worldwide. Follow me while I site some of the things that Muslims are both permitted and instructed to do.
Ideology (what they believe)
Mohammed believed that Muslims are divinely chosen to spread their religion through warfare, conquest, and subjugation. There is a Jihad (“holy war”) being waged against all that are infidels (unbelievers). This is not conjecture. “In the first 300 years after Mohammed (died), the world witnessed hundreds of thousands killed in jihad. Every one of the Caliphs who followed Mohammed was a commander of an army, leading troops to fight, spreading Islam across the world by subduing its enemies”. (Federer, 2007, p.252)
“Fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war). (Sura 9:5 Yusulfali Translation)
“When ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), smite their necks…Allah lets you fight in order to test you.” (Sura 47:4 Yusulfali Translation)
Below are some examples of the teachings of Mohammed:
“Infidels are your sworn enemies (Sura 4:101); Be ruthless to the infidels (Sura 48:29); Make war on the infidels who dwell around you (Sura 9:123,66:9); Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day (Sura 9:29); Strike off the heads of infidels in battle (Sura47:4); If someone stops believing in Allah, kill him (al-Bukhari 9:84:57); Take neither the Jews nor the Christians for your friends (Sura 5:51,60:13); Never be a helper to the disbelievers (Sura 28:86); Kill the disbelievers wherever you find them (Sura 2:191); The only reward of those who make war upon Allah and His messenger will be that they will be killed or crucified, or have their hands and feet on alternate sides cut off, or will be expelled out of the land (Sura 5:33); No Muslim should be killed for killing an infidel (al-Bukhara 1:3:111).” (Federer, 2007, p.251)
As stated previously, conquest can be via diplomacy. Only, Muslim diplomacy involves deception. The concept known as “al-Takeyya”. Basically, it means that one can disguise or conceal one’s beliefs, motives, strategies or convictions to gain power in promoting Islam or to protect oneself. Consequently, many are deceived in believing that Muslims are or can be their friends. They cannot. They’re forbidden.
“Let not the believers take disbelievers for their friends in preference to believers… (Sura 3:28 Picthal Translation)
“Let not the believers take the unbelievers for friends rather than believers; and whoever does this, he shall have nothing of (the guardianship of) Allah, but you guard yourselves against them, guarding carefully; and Allah makes you cautious of (retribution from) Himself; and to Allah is eventual coming. (Sura 3:28Sharkir Translation)
Their intentions (infiltration) (subversion)
Even today Muslims have infiltrated various school boards, county, state, judicial and legislative government in America. The folly is we think they’re assimilating into our culture. They are not. They cannot. They’re forbidden to. They’re simply employing “al-Takeyya”. Let me give you an example. In January of 2007 Keith Ellison was the first Muslim member of Congress. Unbeknown to most, Mr. Ellison took his ceremonial oath with his hand on the Qur’an, not the Bible. So, while he’s swearing to support and defend the Constitution of the United States, his hand is on a religious book that claims ultimate authority. Now, in 2025, there are a total of five Muslim members in Congress. All of which are far left radical Democrats. And most recently, we watched in horror, as NYC just elected their first self-professed socialist Muslim mayor, 34-year-old Zohran Mamdani. He’ll be soon in charge of the largest city in the United States. New York City has over 8.4 million residents and a budget of $118 billion dollars. Good luck!
Again, the Qur’an emphasizes that there is no authority above that of Allah and anyone who claims authority over Him is committing shirk (idolatry). Additionally, the only law that Muslims obligated to follow is Sharia law. “Sharia law encompasses legal as well as moral and ethical directives. It characterizes all man’s acts into five categories: Obligatory, Recommended, Permitted, Discouraged, and Forbidden”. (CFI Education) In many Muslim counties where Sharia Law reigns supreme there are beheadings, amputations, forced child marriage, female genital mutilation (I’ll let you google that), honor killings, to name a few. But more on this later.
Make no mistake Muslims are trying to impose Sharia Law on America, much like they’ve done in the UK. In the UK there are whole city blocks where the police are not permitted to enter. Due to massive immigration, there has been a profound demographical change. If it sounds like a country within a country, you’re exactly right. In fact, the only thing stopping full implementation of Sharia here is the Constitution and various other laws currently on the books. But what happens when Muslims become the majority? Thank it can’t happen? Think again! Ever hear of “dawa”?
Once a devoted Muslim, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, wrote an article in The Federalist in 2017, in which she describes the Muslim practice of dawa.
“The term “dawa” refers to activities carried out by Islamists to win adherents and enlist them in a campaign to impose sharia law on all societies. Dawa is not the Islamic equivalent of religious proselytizing, although it is often disguised as such by blending humanitarian activities with subversion political activities.
Dawa as practiced by Islamists employs a wide range of mechanisms to advance the goal of imposing Islamic law (sharia) on society. This includes proselytization but extends beyond that. In Western countries, dawa aims both to convert non-Muslims to political Islam and to bring about more extreme views among existing Muslims. The ultimate goal of dawa is to destroy the political institutions of a free society and replace them with strict sharia. Islamists rely on both violent and nonviolent means to achieve their objectives . . . (Dawa) is subversion from within, the use of religious freedom in order to undermine that very freedom. (Youssef, 2019, pp. 138-139) Bold, mine.
Groups like, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Muslim Public Affairs Counsel (MPAC), The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT), the Islamic Society of Boston, and The Muslim Brotherhood, all engage in Islamic dawa. Let’s talk a little about The Muslim Brotherhood. “These Islamist groups also take advantage of the obsession with political correctness of secular progressives, using terms such as inclusion, multiculturalism, coexistence, and tolerance to shame and intimidate the secular left into accepting Islamic demands”. (Youssef, 2019, p.142) Bold, mine.
Several counties have banned the Muslim Brotherhood. They include, Australia, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. They not only banned them but declared them a terrorist organization. But wait, don’t several of these counties have a Muslim majority? Yes, but there are world related politics involved. It’s politically and economically advantages to appear they’re against terrorism. Remember, al-Takeyya? Incidentally, President Trump just proclaimed the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization, as did Governor Abbott in Texas.
Speaking of Texas, not long ago, the East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC) was planning on setting up a Muslim, master planned a 402-acre community near Josephine. It was to include housing, a mosque, and a school. In other words, a Muslim only city, in America! Thankfully, Governor Abbott squashed it. Further, he banned Sharia Law in Texas altogether. When Mamdani heard about it he labeled Abbott as “Islamophobic” and invited those Muslims to come to New York. Incidentally, the New York metropolitan area has the largest total Muslim population of any other city in the U.S. Again, they don’t want to assimilate into society, they want to conquer it.
My objective by showing you where Islam started, what they believe, and what their overall intentions are, was meant as a wakeup call. Passivity in the face of evil, is itself, evil. Remember, you have free speech…. until you don’t.
