Many children take on the attributes of their father, good or bad. If their father is a habitual lier, most likely they will become habitual liers.
The Bible refers to the devil as “the father of lies ” Most all of mankind takes after him. He is dishonest, corrupt and evil.
Society devoid of God grows increasingly more corrupt and deceitful with each passing generation. And those few that hold on to truth and try to adhere to truth, integrity, and justice make themselves a target and enemy of the people of the world. The Bible tells of such a generation just before the first advent of Christ. A time when “the justice system” is no longer just “Our courts oppose the righteous, and justice is nowhere to be found. Truth stumbles in the streets, and honesty has been outlawed. Yes, truth in gone, and anyone who renounces evil is attacked.” IS 59:14
“No one sues rightously but for the sake of doing injury to others to take advantage and no one plead his case in truth: but rather they trust in empty arguments and speak lies. They conceive trouble and bring forth injustice.” IS 59:4 amp.
The Bible says “the Lord looked upon this and was displeased to find there was no justice.” IS 59:16
That’s why today, depending on how much money one has and how good of a lawyer they have, they can get away with bloody murder. While at the same time a righteous person will be condemned.
This is why you see all these lawyer commercials on TV. It’s not about justice. It’s about taking advantage of the judicial system and making a profit financially.
As a believer in Christ we need to understand this and pray each day for wisdom. As this grieves the heart of God, it should also give the Spirit of God within us. And we must be extra careful in whom we trust and with whom we align ourselves with.
The Bible says to not “be unequally yoked with unbelievers.” And to choose our friends wisely. We cannot afford to walk, or partner with unbelievers. I believe that it’s talking about more than in just marriage. I’d rather be lonely and please the Lord than enjoy temporal pleasure in fellowship with the world. “What fellowship can light have with darkness?”
In these end times it’s more important than ever “to walk circumspectly (alert, with our head up) because our enemy is a roaring lion looking for who he can destroy.
In a world that is devoid of honestly and justice it’s most important that we stand for the truth and advocate for righteousness. “Having done all to stand, stand firm.” The Lord of Glory is coming soon to rescue us from this evil, unjust world. “And when he comes, will he find faith on the earth?” I hope he will in you and I.
