I wrote prior about Democrats being “The Masters of Deflection”. It’s presently on full display for all the world to see, and brought to you by Joe Biden himself. Remember, that is was only in July that Joe Biden said that the possibility of the Taliban taking over Kabul was “highly unlikely”.
While the world watches the aftermath of the hasty withdrawal of Afghanistan, Joe Biden is talking about taking legal action against Republican govenors who outlaw mask mandates.
“President Biden on Wednesday said he’s asking Education Secretary Miguel Cardona to go after states with bans on mask mandates in schools, up to and including taking “legal action” against them, even as a crisis rages on in Afghanistan.”
To even the most obtuse among us view this as unconscionable! While we’re seeing scenes of thousands of Afghans trying to cling to a plane leaving Kabal, some of whom, falling to their death as the plane is taking off, Joe wants to divert our attention to school aged kids without masks.
Forget about the thousands of Americans and afghans stuck to face the horrors of the auster Taliban. Forget about the young girls and women who will raped, killed and forced into servitude. Forget about the millions of dollars of military equipment falling into the hands of terrorists who hate us, and will in all likelihood be used against us. “Rep. Mike Waltz, R-Fla., told Fox News in an interview Sunday night that the situation in Afghanistan is worse than it was before the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and that the Taliban now “have access to massive caches of heavy weaponry, artillery, armored vehicles, ammunition,” given how rapidly insurgents were able to sweep the country with little resistance by Afghan forces” The list includes Blackhawk helicopters, Humvees, and 50mm machine guns and countless rounds of ammo.
We are being told all this simply couldn’t be avoided. It was bound to happen. Really? Trump had a well thought out plan for our withdrawal of Afghanistan. He had several steps that were to happen sequentially. One of most importantly was to get out Americans and afghans that helped us with intelligence during the war. Now we’re told that they’re not sure of they can rescue them. The passage way to the airport is being blocked by the Taliban.
Make no mistake, this president’s debacle will go down in infamy. The world is aghast as they watch the scene unfold. Our enemies are smiling with delight.
The president told us “the buck stops here. I am the president of the United States.” Yes you are Mr. President, and we are all suffering because you are.
