Mark Zuckerberg created Facemash  2003 as a Junior at Harvard university which was revised to what now is known as Facebook. What it is known today and it is by far the largest social media website in the world. But it’s beginning wasn’t so pure.

“What is obvious is that Zuckerberg had twin gifts for coding and causing a stir, both of which served him well at Harvard. The previous year, he had become a campus celebrity by creating FaceMash, a website where students could vote on which of two randomly-selected Harvard women was more attractive, and quickly running afoul of both the administration and several women’s groups.”

Facebook had roughly 2.85 billion active users by the first quarter of 2021.

The users of this platform are people from all races, religions, and political affiliations all around the world.

Like most all social media platforms, people use it to connect with old friends, family members, make new acquaintances, and promote business.

Technology is a wonderful thing, but there’s a down side, particularly for the Christian. Almost every Church and ministry has a Facebook page. They can promote their church, church events, and keep in touch with their members. So what can be so bad about such a useful tool? Well let me site (no pun intended) a few things.

1) your information is not private. Whatever you post is there forever. And it most certainly can be used against you.

2) you can be censored or completely cancelled if the Facebook gods decide that your post or comment is in violation of it’s policies. As we have recently seen the censoring of conservatives, Christians and Christian based organizations.

3) Studies have show that people often feel lonely, depressed and even suicidal, mainly because they compare their lives with others on Facebook. What they fail to understand is that everyone puts fourth their best “face” on Facebook. Their successes, their achievements and their best pictures. They rarely show their faults and struggles. Leaving one to think, why is my life not as good as others? This is why I call it Fakebook. It’s just not the real you, and you know it. It’s a facade. It’s what you want the world to believe you are. I often say, with tongue in cheek, “may your life be as good as what you portray it is on your Facebook page.”

4) Facebook is part of the Beast. This somewhat innocuous looking social media platform, is the creation of man. You are tied into the one world system. And I strongly believe it will be used against you in the end times, which I believe that we are in the beginning stages of now. The easy benefits have sucked you in. The devil always offers you some “good” now that will inevitably turn out to be very bad later.

It is for these reasons that I caution you to get off of Fakebook. Remember, the “angel of light” isn’t your friend, so “unfriend” him now. You’ll be glad later.
